November 3, 2021, I joined the Meter Club, Elbow and Nami-tsugi Cob.

Today, even in the darkness, the movement of the carp was extraordinary, and our expectations were higher than ever before.

While preparing the bait for my second cast, the sensor went off. The line was being pulled out generously. As I held the rod, it felt heavy. Remembering how I lost a fish right in front of me during the previous encounter, I cautiously turned the handle, and Cob exclaimed, "It's a big one!" Carefully, we continued the back-and-forth struggle.

Quietly, the face appeared, and my excitement reached its peak. After a while, the fish finally entered Cob's waiting landing net, giving us a sigh of relief. However, it was quite a challenge to lift it over the railing. With both of us exerting all our strength, we managed to bring it onto the terrace.

Still catching my breath, we placed it on the mat and began measuring. It was overwhelming to see its size. "Oh, is it a meter fish?" When measured accurately, it was 101cm! Finally, I joined the Meter Club. Next, we took a long-awaited photo holding the fish. It was quite a struggle to hold it properly, causing me to break into a cold sweat. With Cob's camera, we struck a pose! The day we had been waiting for had finally arrived. It was a satisfying experience.

During the anticipated afternoon hours, Cob's sensor went off this time! While looking at the caught carp, Cob remarked, "It looks smaller after seeing Elbow's fish (lol)." This also became a long-awaited photo holding the fish.
And just before leaving, Cob had his customary additional catch.

That night...
Today, let's celebrate with drinks! As always... I did it! While savoring the moment and thinking, "I am capable of achieving great things," I enjoy my beer 🍺. It was worth the visit to the grave the other day. Thank you, ancestors!
